Comrie is a Village in Perthshire, west of Crieff.
Our holiday lodges are located in the beautiful village of Comrie in Perthshire, Scotland which lies on the banks of the River Earn nestled on the edge of the Scottish Highlands. Comrie is in the heart of the scenic West Strathearn area of Perthshire. Situated at the meeting of Glens Lednock and Artney with the Scottish Highlands rising to the north.
Called Victoria by the Romans, Comrie’s original Pictish name is said to have been Aberlednock.
The focal point of the village is the “White Church”. Previously a historic church, the building was refurbished and opened as “Comrie Community Centre” in September 2000.
The village has won a number of awards in national and regional events and is listed in the Champion of Champions category of Britain in Bloom.

THINGS TO DO & PLACES TO SEE:
- CULTYBRAGGAN CAMP 21: Situated just a mile outside Comrie, Cultybraggan Camp is the only WW2 prisoner of war camp that is open to the public in Scotland. Here you can learn all about the history of the camp through an informative storyboard tour, see the Cultybraggan cartoon collection which includes 66 hand-drawn pictures by a POW in 1944/45, and even see how the camp is being used today by local businesses and the Comrie community whilst preserving its history for future generations.
- AUCHINGARRICH WILDLIFE CENTRE: Set in 100 acres of spectacular Perthshire scenery, this is a great location for a family day out. With lots of animals to see, places to discover and plenty of play areas for the little ones including indoor soft plays for those wonderful Scottish rainy days. With over 40 species of animals, a hatchery with baby animals, wonderful walks, pony rides and gift shops, there is something for everyone.
- CAPTURE SCOTLAND LTD: Capture Scotland Ltd is a Photography Tour Company, on this tour you will learn the basics of photography without complex jargon, simple composition, different styles of photography and how to create the perfect exposure (this list is not exhaustive and can be discussed when booking tour).

- COMRIE GOLF CLUB: Comrie Golf course is situated in the most beautiful part of Perthshire and close to the village. The course consists of nine holes with magnificent views over the Strathearn valley. There are some notable par threes, the third and the fifth, which require a good accurate tee shot to reach the green. The ninth tee shot is played through an avenue of trees. The greens are always in excellent condition and, generally, golfers of all abilities will find it a challenging experience to play.
- COMRIE CROFT BIKES: Nestling in the heart of a beautiful 231 acre Perthshire estate, yet only an hours’ drive from Scotland’s major cities, Comrie Croft Trails are an ever evolving and expanding set of dedicated trails (around 16km) offering something for everyone.

- THE ROYAL HOTEL COMRIE: The Royal Hotel offers classic style Brasserie food served in the restaurant and Lounge Bar. Good fresh ingredients; many sourced locally, allied to sound cooking techniques give delicious classic dishes with a modern twist.
- THE SCOTTISH TEA FACTORY: The Scottish Tea Factory is situated at Comrie Croft and offers tea tasting and tea blending experiences. They are affiliated with the U.K. Tea Academy and also offer professional level accredited tea courses for people in the food and drink industry. There is a small demonstration tea garden next to the factory which also offers tea processing services and tea consultancy to Scottish tea growers. Only open by appointment.
- THE DEILS CAULDRON: Enjoyed by both tourists and locals alike,you can enjoy some of the finest quality food on offer in a friendly and charming atmosphere of rough stone walls, glowing fires, low ceilings, and subtle lighting, ensuring a wonderful dining experience in this 18th Century Cottage. Specialising in Mediterranean and Scottish Cuisine using fresh local produce they offer a wide ranging menu which includes premium quality “Gold Standard” beef, Wild Scottish Venison, Fresh Mussels and Fish.
They also cater for vegetarians and, weather permitting, can offer alfresco dining in their garden patio.
- THE TEA GARDEN AT COMRIE CROFT: The tea garden offers a range of homemade delights including cakes, salads, soups, pies and more, as well as great coffee and tea, all made with love. There’s a great selection for those who don’t eat meat, gluten, lactose and other things that don’t agree with you.
- HANSENS KITCHEN: Enjoy a fine range of foods including cheese and homemade breads baked daily as well as filled baguettes and other take-away food. Vegetarian, vegan and GF available.
- COMRIE HOTEL RESTAURANT: Located in a traditional old building the restaurant has been fully refurbished to reflect a contemporary modern look. Offering British and Scottish cuisine and gluten free options.
- THE COMRIE FISH AND CHIP SHOP: If you’re in the mood for a traditional “Chippy Tea” then look no further than the Comrie Fish & Chip shop. Offering all your fishy favourites as well as a varied menu including curry, pizza and much more.
